An Opportunity to Teach

Dec 10, 2021

Very soon we will make our third trip with the 5th wheel to Holiday RV Park this December 27th, arriving there the 30th. For the last two years I have been painting around the park trying my hand at some Florida scenery and wildlife. In February of this year I did some individual classes in watercolor and ink. This coming 2022, I have been afforded the opportunity to teach weekly on Monday mornings 9am-12pm. The park has a small marina on a lake fed creek where many of the permanent and part time residents have pontoon boats. The class will use the spacious meeting room. I’m excited to meet some new people and bring them the interesting way of applying watercolor. I have constructed the classes as different topics each week. I want people to attend based on interest but at the same time not hold them to a commitment. I know this will make the 8 weeks go by quickly. It always does. But one can’t beat driving the golf cart to class and working in a serene spot by the water. I have much to pack as all the materials are supplied. There are birds of many kinds and they say a gator cruises the creek. I haven’t seen him or her yet. I did do a painting of a black buzzard during our last stay.  I wonder if I couldn’t motivate some interest in this character. It could be interesting.
