NEW CLASS OFFERINGS for 2022:
FRIDAY MAY 6TH: Work boots and Flowers. A still life of sorts. I have attached a picture below. See if you can’t use this idea for your own design or change the boots style. I thought a pair of Fireman’s boots would be unique. Search for Boots images and see what’s out there.
SATURDAY MAY 21ST: Young Heron on Pine Boughs. I did this piece in Florida last winter. This will let you test your skills with the pointed round brush and using a variety of colors. I want you to draw with the brush not pencil. The bird can be constructed lightly but very minimal lines for the branches.
FRIDAY MAY 27ST: Ship on High Seas, Low light with golden sky. Not much of a boat to draw. Its all about the mood here. Don’t be too concerned about the details of the boat. The sky will be the biggest part with the dark sea. Almost any boat could be used here. Find another if you choose.
FRIDAY JUNE 3RD: Royal Tern Gull. A common bird of Florida. Think about putting the bird on the sand with a shadow. They must be used to people as it didn’t budge when I approached. I don’t paint these types of birds at all so it will be another good lesson for me.
SATURDAY JUNE 10TH: Crashing Seas with a Lighthouse. Find two images to combine. I sketched in a lighthouse into this photo. What can you design from two images? Don’t forget your eye level rule.
MORE TO COME LATER ON.
For the Future: Print out and these patterns if you can. We will make use of them at a later time.
Friday December 16th – Final Class for Rochester until April 2023
