Returning from a trip out to Grand Manan Island, we took the Rt 1 along the coast making stops in different towns along the way. From Eastport, the most eastern town in the US, to Bar Harbor and other locations. Near Bar Harbor in Bas Harbor. This light sits high above the sea on it rocky perch. I had a limited amount of time but was able to snap a few photos of this lighthouse. The high cliffs and jagged rocks made for an interesting subject, but when I was there the waters were quite calm. I felt there should be more power in the water, thus the creation of massive boulders and the crashing pounding waves, I hope to return there one day and paint here in plein air. I’m sure it will be much different by then but still have the amazing view it presented that day.
About the canvas printing: The canvas prints are prepared for standard framing stretcher thickness. When the canvas arrives, lay it out to relax for a day or so. Take it to a framer who will build a stretcher and wrap the canvas. The frame you selected will then be made to fit. Dust the surface off regularly without solvents. Remember the top and back of the artwork as well to keep the spiders from making a home. We hope you have many years of enjoying your artwork. Thank you.
