Description
During our wintering in Florida, I drove to Punta Gorda to visit my friend Don Melander. Don took me to the Boca Grande Light to paint en plein air. It was very warm day for painting in the hot sun and I don’t care for the beach so much. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Fortunately the breeze was blowing some. Don is a man of 88 years young and still loves to get out and paint. We had some on lookers that day and met some nice people. I didn’t quite finish the piece that day so I took it back to the RV and added a few touches. All things considered, it came out well.
