Description
Nantucket Island is a ferry boat ride from Cape Cod. One summer we traveled to the island to tour and see the sights. My wife had spent time on the island many years ago and thought I would like to see the scenery and gather ideas to paint. This piece is a combination of the actual of the Brant Point Light on the harbor. I placed a dory from a beach on Cape Cod for interest and to take your eye to the lighthouse. We have not been back to the island since then. We found it very congested as well as expensive to take the ferry out to the island. I suppose its worth a trip if you don’t mind feeling that you are not on an island with the traffic and crowds of people. You can be the judge.
