Description
Briar Lane is a street in the town of Wellfleet MA. The cottage in this painting, done while staying on the cape in 2005, was at one time a bakery. It was also an eatery where baked chicken was prepared as its main course. What drew me to this landscape was the cast shadows on the street along with the picket fence covered with pink (flowers). The house is now a private residence.
