This is Middle Road in Henrietta NY where in my previous job as a school bus driver, I drove this road every morning and afternoon. From the seat, i watched the landscape change from Fall through Spring. I saw the farm fields tilled and planted, the colors change and the snow blow across the road with no barrier to stop the drifts. Deer were always found in the early morning hours of darkness playing “beat the bus” although they knew nothing of this sort of thing. This house and its location against the trees makes the idea design. Many times I thought a closer view would be better, but the distant landscape only added to the scene. The house still stands today. I retired but still drive this road to my painting classes every week.
