As a boy I learned to drive my first boats with motors just like these. Many people my family associated with also had small wooden boats with makes such as Johnson, Evinrude, Mercury and Scott among others. The sounds and smells still resonate for me today. Not long ago, my brother purchased the red Johnson unit. It still purrs as I remember.
