This painting was inspired by the chair that sits in front of my cottage along the St. Lawrence River’s Canadian Channel. Not a mile away to the right is the Canadian Span of the St. Lawrence Bridge. I spent a good number of mornings with my coffee in this chair watching the water and studying reflections. I might get a visit from a chipmunk or two so I would toss them some of my toast if I had it.  The Seating for One means, we have this time and place to be alone especially if you can be up before all others, to ponder, to decide what to do that day, or perhaps to do nothing. It’s a nice place to read, take a nap or yes, even call a friend.  Perhaps you too have a favorite spot to sit and ponder.  As I write this on December 14th, 2021, I have not seen the chair for two years due to the Covid situation we have all around us. We will have to see what 2022 brings.

Now that I think of it, I would help you have this memory for yourself. Let me do something for you that connects you to a place like this.  Email me on the contact form if you might like to commission your own Seating For One.

Note: This image is a place holder until I get the better print image. I can assure you would not be disappointed if you happen to order this item. If you aren’t happy with it, I will gladly refund your money when the artwork is returned to me.
